Girl that is why I watch your video you are very open minded ,and I love your attitude about natural hair .keep educating people .black women should embrace their natural hair

  • mallorydover says:

i wish more women were educated about their hair and the reasons why they choose the relaxer. I am personally just against the idea that you cannot be beautiful without having straight hair. women reject their own natural hair without giving it a chance. of course you aren’t going to get a fine tooth comb through your natural hair, you have to learn how to care for it just as you’ve learned how to care for relaxed hair. do what you do, but know why you do it.

how are u going to say u dont like altered hair, but your hair is locked, you dont consider that altered hair….black hair doesnt grow out the scalp locked.

  • ramiakin says:

Hmmmm…good point. I used to live in San Francisco. There’s an extremely small population of “productive, educated, progressive Black folk” left in the Bay Area. Because most have relocated to east coast places like the Atl. So, good luck finding good-quality hair care places near San Francisco.

  • BSG123 says:

What do you mean there’s very few black in the Bay Area? LOL, what city are YOU living in?

  • Samielle1 says:

when i had a perm, i put dye in it also. for a while, it was fine, then one day, my hair started falling out, lol. at that point i was already sick of my hair anyways, so i just went natural and never looked back. Now im locking.

  • Peaceandlove2390 says:

    you are so beautiful!

  • HUMP8116 says:

  • wilstebri says:

Hey…what’s goin’ on y’all??!!! I’m seekin’. So, hopefully, I will find. I live in the San Francisco bay area, where there are very, very, very few Black folk. I’m lookin’ for a natural, hair-care salon for Black folk. Does anyone here know of any, within 50 miles or less of San Francisco?

    Thanks in advance!

I can related to this video for sure. I use to go back and forth with being natural, chemically altering my hair, especially coloring. It wasn’t until just before my current loc journey I finally gave up coloring. My hair is so much more healthier, I had been ruining it for years just trying to be creative when all along being natural is so much more creative…it’s a better fit for me and I love it…..Great Vid!

  • sfagirl88 says:

i recently decided to grow out my perm because of hair damage. i wanna lock it but i dont know who to trust because every hair stylist in brooklyn claims that their way is the right way. i really hope my hait\r ends up looking like yours. Love the vid :-D

  • scarletrose17 says:

OMG! A Big difference in one year! Your hair was so beautiful…I hate so many mothers put perms in kids hair:( It starts off so beautiful

  • MyNubianLook says:

They even got a magazine out specifically for weaves

  • luvleechica says:

I hear you! My POV I’ve been natural! Cut it all off and started from scratch. I was like this for five years. My hair gave me the same issues as it did when it was relaxed. Either way, you need to care for your hair. Maintenance is the Key for anything.

  • blaxican707 says:

    omg ur so beautiful

  • ladywass says:
