we should not feel encouraged to look down on women like beyonce and keyshia cole just because they’re light. they are beautiful black women who did not choose they’re skin color. what they did do is celebrate the veratility of black hair.
i don’t like the word nappy always negtive context i like poofy sounds fun. my hair is poofy, lol.
But the point is to not hide your natural nappy hair with a Barbie looking weave (ahem-beyonce)
Bey has pretty spiral curls, but she keeps that fake stuff on her head..whats up with that? Never mind, cuz we ALREADY know
once someone told me, black people have straight hair too? yeah, there are white people with curls too, but they walk with it
THIS VIDEO SPEAKS TRUTH! If someone i think all people should be ok with THEIR hair! If a person dont feel comfortable in their own skin and in their…they need to closely moniter their self-worth/self-esteem
As a young black girl and a real minority, I had a hard time excepting what God gave to me, but fortunately I grew out of that and now I have locks. I get MORE attention from all races of men since I’ve done it!!!
Damned good job! Keep up the good work, ladies.
I like this video, but it’s hard to hear the women with the music in the background.
Look at Saint at the end cutting up! I’m so glad I ran across this video, and if I wasn’t such a fotki hair pic junkie I never would have! There’s a lot of truth telling in this vid… Good job Toya
keep it up!
keep it up sistas, it shows intelligents to see a black woman with natural hair because it show she can see threw the subservient views we’ve pick up from being bombarded with images of western standards of beauty. women with dreds, twist, afro puffs, head wraps etc are the only women i end up in relationships with, because they tend to be more srewed on.
keep it up sistas and dont listen to these conformist who straighten there hair to conform to western standards of beauty. Draeds, twists, afro puffs, head wraps etc are what atrract me to a woman, just think it shows intelligents that she can see threw the subservient views we’ve picked up from being a minority in america for 500yr.plus it just looks silly to see a blacl woman with sraight hair just like seeing a white woman with braids.
keep it up sistas, and dont listen to these conformist who straighten there hair because they know no better and conform to a western standard of beauty. Hey, thanks to all you black american women who are going natural. Looking at the history and reasons why we enslave ourselves to the LYE in the first place made me look for the truth in other areas of my life too and not believe the LIES.
My point exactly! =)
Why are African American women wearing this fake crap on their scalps?.My advice – Get a good haircut, keep it conditoned. Trim the ends every 3 months and get a major haircut every year.I have been doing this since I was a girl and my hair is beautiful
Natural and loving it, great video, added it ot my favs!

I love the vid, I’m a natural sista, No heat and no relaxer. I did’nt always feel proud about my hair, but I do now. great vid!
Nappy hair here! And I love it! Not jealous of anyone’s hair. Don’t get me wrong, every race of women has beautiful hair. However, this doesn’t mean that I am envious of them. I can appreciate all hair types.
Good job Toya!
